Our Formation Team

The Dance Formation Team is a group of amateur ballroom dancers who rehearse regularly to learn routines. Formation Dance involves couples performing a choreographed routine. These routines allow dancers to demonstrate their own technique in addition to their ability to move as a team.

Our primary purpose is to serve as the outreach program of USA Dance. We share our love of dancing through our dance performances at a variety of venues such as senior citizen centers, civic groups, and other community organizations. The team has performed at nursing homes, assisted living centers, senior centers, the New Mexico State Fair, the Day of Dance for Health, and other community events. The emphasis of the team is community service rather than competitive performance.
