Nurturing Ballroom Dancers in New Mexico
Ward Brinegar and Belinda Jentzen Big Winners
Belinda and I won our 3rd consecutive world championship last week in Nashville [early January, 2010], dancing in the Silver Advanced division against 2 other couples. We won 5 dances, triple 2-step, polka, nightclub 2-step, waltz and country western 2-step. We were 2nd in cha-cha, east coast swing and west coast swing.
We had excellent coaching through the year from Mike Haley, Rosa Delgadillo and Ronnie Debenedetta. I always give credit to Kristine Huotari, whose patient teaching over 8 years laid the foundation that made this possible for me. And most important of all, thanks to Maryann Harvey.
