  • Get ready to rumba … Sunday at USA Dance!

    Join us at USA Dance for our next social dance: 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, April 19.

    Come early for our lessons, which are included with your admission:
    1:45 p.m. Line Dance lesson (Tipsy), led by Rosie Harper.
    2:15 p.m. Basics lesson (Am. Rumba), led by Beth Ciccone.
    2:15 p.m. Int/Adv lesson: Am. Rumba, taught by Lawrence Black of Dance Station.

    Marie Stoffer and Lawrence Black will also perform a Viennese Waltz.

    Our DJ is Andy Nelson.

  • Swing Into Spring … Sunday at USA Dance!

    It may feel like summer, but we are barely into spring! Celebrate with our Swing Into Spring dance this Sunday, April 5.

    Rosie Harper will teach elements of the Shim Sham at her line dance class. The beginner and intermediate lessons will both be bolero; Debra Williams will lead the Basics class, and Cristel Pike will teach the intermediate lesson.

    Vanessa Gordillo and Stefan Easter will perform a paso doble. Our DJ is Perry Pedersen.

    Sunday is Academy Awards day — and we’re rolling out the red carper at USA Dance.

    Joseph Chavez and Alexa Estrada will perform a theatrical foxtrot to Singin’ In The Rain. 

    DJ Doug McClellan will cue up a playlist full of movie tunes.

    The dance is 3 – 5 p.m., so we’ll be finished as the real Academy Awards ceremony is starting. Come early for our pre-dance lessons.

  • Bring a friend & get in free … Sunday at USA Dance

    If you have a friend who has never been to USA Dance, our next dance on Sunday, Feb. 15 is the perfect introduction.

    That’s because you and your friend both get in free for this special Friendship Day Dance.

    All social dancers are welcome — no partner required.

    Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others (unless, of course, you bring a friend). Our venue is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.

  • Warm up with dancing … Sunday at USA Dance!

    Baby, it’s cold outside! Good thing dancing is a great way to warm up. Join us at our next USA Dance on Sunday, Feb. 1, from 3 – 5 p.m.

    Vanessa Gordillo will teach a foxtrot lesson at 2:15 p.m., and we’ll enjoy a waltz performance by Bruce Hanson and Frankie Glidewell.

    Debra Williams leads a Back to Basics session for beginning dancers at 1:30 p.m. Our DJ is Perry Pedersen.

    Admission for all of this is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. We’re at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.
