Fall back and dance on … Sunday at USA Dance
Remember to set your clocks back an hour Saturday night … but don’t forget to join us at USA Dance this Sunday, Nov. 5. The dance is 3 – 5 p.m. Enchantment Dancing owner Chip Hindi teaches a free bolero lesson at 2:15 p.m. Our DJ is Andy Nelson. We’re at the Albuquerque Square Dance Club, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others.
Pedal & Swing, dance & donate! Perry Pedersen (one of our DJs) and his wife Rosi Rodriguez will host their annual Pedal & Swing fundraising dance to help cure MS (multiple sclerosis) and ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or “Lou Gehrig’s disease.”)
The dance is 5 – 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at CSP Dance Studios, 1624 Eubank Blvd. NE. USA Dance hosts a variety dance for the first 90 minutes (from 5 – 6:30 p.m.), followed by a West Coast Swing dance from 6:30 – 8 p.m. hosted by Southwesties ABQ. Suggested donation is $10, but higher amounts are welcome!

Election season. We will elect new members to our chapter’s board of directors at our Dec. 3 dance. If you are interested in running or have questions about serving on the board, please email us at info@usadancenm.org or talk to Sue Thorson or Claude Valles at a dance. Sue and Claude are co-chairs of our nominations and elections committee. Serving on the board is a great way of helping our chapter continue to put on these dances.
