Tango on tap for Sunday’s USA Dance
Beat the heat and feel the beat at USA Dance this Sunday, July 16. Our regular 3rd Sunday dance is 3 – 5 p.m. Andy Nelson will DJ. All are welcome.
Joseph Chavez of Body’s Emotion Dance Studio will teach an American tango lesson at 2:15 p.m.
It’s all happening at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. We have recently reopened the entire Square Dance Center floor, so there is lots of room for you to show off your fanciest footwork.
Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for non-members.

Many hands, etc. This is our occasional reminder that USA Dance is an all-volunteer organization that relies on all of our dancers to lend an occasional helping hand.
“If everyone would do just one volunteer task a year, it would help keep the chapter running smoothly,” said DeAnn Eaton, our chapter president.
Our volunteer duties mostly require just a few minutes before or after a dance, from checking in dancers, setting up and taking down tables and chairs, or sweeping the floor. We invite you to talk to a board member at the dance and sign up for a task. Thanks to all of our volunteers for helping us keep these dances running smoothly.
