Join USA Dance and reap the benefits
Becoming a USA Dance member not only saves you money at our chapter dances, but makes you eligible for local and national discounts on dancewear, apparel, online dance classes, and more. It connects you with a national group of fellow ballroom dance enthusiasts and local chapters like ours, so you can find a place to dance when you travel. And it lets you support many good causes, including dance education for children, teens and college students and dance programs for Special Olympians.
USA Dance of North Central New Mexico is one of more than 150 local chapters of USA Dance, Inc., a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality and quantity of dance in the United States.
Local benefits
- Starting in 2021, save $5 on admission to all of our regular Albuquerque-area dances, plus enjoy free admission to one specified Member Appreciation Dance per quarter. This benefit alone can pay for a Social Dance membership in as little as 3 months!

National benefits
- Members get a 20% discount on a one-time monthly or yearly membership with Dance Vision, which has an extensive library of online instructional videos by some of the top U.S. ballroom, Latin and club professionals.
- Access to instructional videos created by USA Dance professionals covering all styles at the beginner level.
- Discounts at social ballroom dances around the country at our sister USA Dance chapters. An USA Dance member from Albuquerque can attend a social dance in Florida (for example), show their membership card, and get discounted admission despite being thousands of miles from home.
- Online access to American Dancer magazine, the official publication of USA Dance. It offers great articles on ballroom dancing across the country, updates on goings-on at local chapters, health and fitness tips for dancers of all levels and abilities, and much more.
- Access to SocialLink, a social media platform just for ballroom dancers. Connect with fellow dancers and USA Dance chapters across the country.
- For more ambitious dancers who wish to compete with their amateur or professional partners, membership gives them entree to USA Dance competitions, culminating in USA Dance Nationals.
- Support for local chapters like ours by providing liability insurance, music licensing, nonprofit status, and more which allows chapters to host dances at far less cost than we would otherwise be able to afford. As a national nonprofit organization, USA Dance negotiates lower rates and saves individual chapters the hassle of obtaining these essential services individually.
- Support a good cause. In addition to its programs for social and competitive dancers, USA Dance also provides dance education and opportunities for children, teens, college students, and Special Olympians to get involved in ballroom dancing. USA Dance sponsors a K-12 program and also partners with Dancing Classrooms. In addition to its work with Special Olympic athletes, USA Dance is also exploring more opportunities for paralympic dancers. Your membership dues help USA Dance bring ballroom dancing to more people regardless of their ability status.
