Let’s Go to the Hop … Sunday at USA Dance!
Dust off those poodle skirts, slick back that hair, put some 45s on the turntable, and get ready for our Let’s Go to the Hop dance from 3 – 5 p.m.this Sunday, Aug. 17.
Vanessa Gordillo will teach a cha cha lesson at 2:15 p.m. Marie Stoffer will lead our “Back to Basics” assisted coaching session from 1:30 – 2 p.m. Our DJ is Andy Nelson.
We will also feature a waltz performance by Jim Schreiber and Lisa Mondy.
Admission for all of this is just $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. Our venue is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.
Jack & Jill Went for a Thrill. Sign up at any of our upcoming dances to participate in our Jack & Jill competition on Sept. 21! We’ll pair leaders and followers at random, and our insta-couples will then dance an East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and Hustle. Winners get a cool trophy (along with bragging rights, of course).
