Move your feet to a samba beat … Sunday at USA Dance!

Move your feet and free your hips for Samba Sunday at USA Dance this Sunday, Sept. 20.

The dance is 3 – 5 p.m. (Note that we have returned to our afternoon schedule.)

Come early for our great lessons, all of which are included in the admission price.

All lessons will focus on samba. Teaching the main lesson is Michiko Sibley of Arthur Murray. The schedule is:

1:45 p.m. 
Line dance class: samba, with Cindy Vigil.

2:15 p.m. 
• Basics lesson: samba, with Debra Williams.
• Intermediate / Advanced lesson: samba, with Michiko Sibley.

The New 40s dance group will perform.

Our guest DJ is Vanessa Gordillo, an instructor at 2 Left Feet.

Admission is just $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. Did we mention that all lessons are included?

All social dancers are welcome, and you never need a partner. Join us on the best dance floor in town at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.

We goofed!

In our last newsletter, we mis-identified the winners of the Jack & Jill competition that took place on August 16.

The winning couple was Everett Farr and Marie Stoffer. 2nd place went to Andy Nelson and Ronnie Schelby. Tony Martinez and Sylvia Lake came in 3rd (and won the People’s Choice award).
