Bring a friend & get in free … Sunday at USA Dance

Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver and the other’s gold.

If you have a friend who has never been to USA Dance, our next dance on Sunday, Feb. 15 is the perfect introduction.
That’s because you and your friend both get in free for this special Friendship Day Dance.
Rosie Harper, chapter president, will teach a beginner line dance at 1:30 p.m. called the Stroll Along Cha Cha.
You can dance it to any moderate cha cha, but we’ll use the Brooks & Dunn song Neon Moon, which will also be on the playlist.
Michiko Sibley of Arthur Murray will teach a traditional cha cha lesson for our 2:15 p.m. intermediate lesson.
The dance itself is 3 – 5 p.m. Doug McClellan will DJ.
“We’re looking forward to meeting your friends,” Rosie said.
All social dancers are welcome — no partner required. Admission for all of this is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others (unless, of course, you bring a friend). Our venue is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.
See you on the dance floor!
See you at the Rio Grande Dance Classic
Many of your fellow USA Dancers will be competing or participating in the Rio Grande Dance Classic on Thursday – Sunday, Feb. 12 – 15.
The RGDC features ballroom, Latin, Country-Western, line dance, and West Coast Swing competitions.
You don’t have to compete to participate — there will be social dancing, and three days of workshops in ballroom, West Coast Swing, Country-Western and line dancing. And there’s a Saturday night dinner show featuring professional dancers. Or just come and watch the competitions — dancers always appreciate an audience!
