The Rio Grande Dance Classic will feature competitions in ballroom (smooth and International), Latin (rhythm and International), swing, and Country-Western smooth and rhythm.
The competition opens Thursday evening, March 31, with a West Coast workshop and social dance, and closes Sunday morning, April 3, with workshops.
It’s Member Appreciation Day at our next dance, 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Enchantment Dancing.
USA Dance members can attend for free, while admission for all others is $10.
In light of Gov. Lujan Grisham’s decision this week to lift the indoor mask mandate, dancers are no longer required to wear face masks at USA Dance (but anyone who prefers to wear a mask should continue to do so). After a 2-year Covid hiatus, Rio Grande Dance Classic organizer Nick Rael is looking forward to relaunching his Albuquerque dance competition.
The 2022 edition of the RGDC will be March 31 – April 3 at the Albuquerque Marriott Uptown.
