Celebrate America’s musical melting pot … Sunday at USA Dance!

Please join us as we commemorate two big birthdays this month at USA Dance of North Central New Mexico.

At our Red, White & Blue dance this Sunday, July 5, we tip our hat to America’s 250th birthday — and honor the melting pot that is American music.

Then, on July 19, we celebrate our chapter’s 20th anniversary with a special dance featuring live music by the High Desert Big Band (see more details below).

Sunday’s Red, White & Blue dance will spotlight the wonderful variety of “American” music. Much of the music we dance to was shaped in America by its many cultures, from jazz and Big Band to Country-Western and line dance; from salsa and cha cha to swing and rock and roll.

Enjoy your inalienable right to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness … on the best dance floor in Albuquerque!

Sunday’s dance is 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Come early for our lessons, which are:

5:15 p.m.
Line Dance lesson: Tipsy and Shim Sham with Rosie Harper

5:45 p.m.
• Basics lesson (small hall): East Coast Swing / Lindy with Ruth Horowitz
• Int/Adv lesson (large hall): East Coast Swing with Joseph Chavez.J

Admission for all of this — lessons, performance, and dance — is just $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. All social dancers are welcome, and you don’t need a partner!
