Celebrate — and dance to — the tunes of Tony Bennett this Sunday at USA Dance
Our 1st Sunday USA Dance is 3 – 5 p.m. this Sunday, Aug. 6, at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.
Nic Rael of CSP Dance Studios will teach a cha cha lesson at 2:15 p.m.
Doug McClellan will DJ, with a playlist that includes a good sprinkling of songs by the incomparable Tony Bennett, who passed away this month at the age of 96. Over a seven-decade(!) career, Bennett was a torchbearer for the Great American Songbook. Many of the tunes he recorded are also great to dance to.
Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for non-members.
