Hot music and a cool dance floor … Sunday evening at USA Dance!

Wasn’t that a time! Thanks to everyone who came to our 20th Anniversary Dance earlier this month, featuring the High Desert Big Band.

Our next dance, at the spacious, air-conditioned Albuquerque Square Dance Center, is Sunday, Aug. 2 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Come early for the lessons: Line dance at 5:15 p.m., and the beginner and intermediate/advanced lessons at 5:45 p.m.All lessons will focus on hustle. Rosie Harper will lead the line dance and beginner lessons.

Patti Smith, owner of CSP Dance Studios, will teach the intermediate/advanced hustle lesson.

Doug McClellan is the DJ, and will play favorites alongside some new ballroom and Latin tunes.

Admission to Sunday’s dance is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others.All social dancers are welcome, and you never need a partner! Join us on the best dance floor in town at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.

Jack & Jill contest is Aug. 16

Make plans to attend our Jack & Jill contest at the Aug. 16 dance. We’ll pair leaders and followers at random and ask our insta-couples to dance an East Coast Swing, waltz, and cha cha. 

The top couples will win prizes! Contestants can sign up on the day of the dance.
