Join us for an afternoon delight … Sunday at USA Dance!

Congratulations to our Jack & Jill winners from our Aug. 16 dance contest! From left: 1st place (and People’s Choice!) couple Tony Martinez and Sylvia Lake; 2nd place couple Andy Nelson and Ronnie Schelbey; and 3rd place couple Everett Farr and Marie Stoffer. The couples were paired at random and judged on dancing a waltz, East Coast Swing, and cha cha.

Join us for an afternoon delight this Sunday, Sept. 6, as USA Dance resumes its afternoon dance schedule.
Our dances return to the traditional time of 3 – 5 p.m., with lessons beforehand.

The line dance lesson will start at 1:45 p.m. The main lessons, for beginners and intermediate/ advanced dancers, kicks off at 2:15 p.m.

Sunday’s featured dance is foxtrot. Rosie Harper will teach a foxtrot line dance, and Beth Ciccone will teach the beginners lesson.

Anita McBride will lead the intermediate/advanced class.

Beth Ciccone and Tyler-Ryan will perform a waltz.

Sitting in as guest DJ is Joseph Chavez of Joseph Chavez Dance & Wellness Center.

Admission is just $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. Your admission includes all lessons.

All social dancers are welcome, and you never need a partner. Join us on the best dance floor in town at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.

We’re looking for board members

Please consider joining the board of USA Dance of North Central New Mexico. We are a volunteer organization, and our dances only happen with the help of people like you! Elections will be at our Nov. 1 dance; please talk to Claude Valles if you are interested or email us at info@usadancenm.org.
