Members get in free at Saturday’s dance party

It’s Member Appreciation night at our next USA Dance party on Saturday, Dec. 4. USA Dance members get in for free, while others will pay $5.

This dance is at our old stomping grounds — the Albuquerque Square Dance Club, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. The dance is 7 – 9 p.m. Debra Williams will teach a free rumba class at 6:15 p.m. — so come early and get some tips from one of our most experienced dancers.

Thanks to everyone who has joined USA Dance in recent weeks. If you haven’t, you can fill out a membership form on Saturday, drop a check or cash, and still get the free admission.

Your $35 Social Adult Dancer membership will really pay off in 2022, when we will begin charging $5 for members and $10 for everyone else. USA Dance members will also get free admission to one dance per quarter. The savings will add up quickly!

Note: We require all dancers to show one-time proof of vaccination. Dancers must wear masks while in the venue.

Join us Sunday, Sept. 3 for an upbeat performance by the Energy and Rhythm Salsa Dance Team (pictured), and a quickstep lesson by Enchantment Dancing’s Cristel Pike.

Cristel’s lesson begins at 2:15 p.m., followed by dancing from 3 – 5 p.m. at the spacious Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. Doug McClellan will DJ.

Set your clocks back on Sunday, Nov. 3 … then don’t forget to join us at USA Dance from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Albuquerque Square Dance Club, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. 

Come early for a Viennese Waltz lesson at 2:15 p.m., taught by Lawrence Black of Dance Station. Andy Nelson will DJ. Lawrence and Marie Stoffer (pictured) will also perform a samba.

Maryann Harvey will teach a free Triple Two-Step lesson at 2:15 p.m.

Our own Beth Ciccone will perform a Night Club Two-Step with CSP instructor Nic Rael (pictured).

Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others.
