Hear ye! Hear ye! Big changes are afoot at USA Dance!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Big changes are coming to USA Dance! You spoke; the board listened!

You asked for more line dances (which don’t rely on leaders and followers). And you wanted lessons for intermediate and advanced dancers as well as beginners.

So, starting in March, we are introducing line dance lessons at each dance, followed by simultaneous dance lessons — one for beginners and one for intermediate and advanced dancers.

The line dance lessons will be 1:45 – 2:10 p.m.

From 2:15-2:55 p.m. will be our Back to Basics assisted practice sessions, geared for beginners and newer dancers, in the smaller hall.

Simultaneously, our intermediate and advanced dancers will gather in the larger hall for a lesson led by a dance instructor.

Everyone will then come together for the dance starting at 3 p.m.

“We ask that you please be honest with yourself about the level of your dance skills. It has not been working to have beginners mixed in with intermediate/advanced dancers in the same lesson,” said Rosie Harper, chapter president.

More changes are in the works — stay tuned!
