Rattle your bones at our Autumn Spooktacular … Sunday at USA Dance!

Pedal & Swing. Help cure multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) — and have fun doing it!The annual Pedal & Swing dance, which raises money for these causes, will be 4 – 7 p.m. on  Sunday, Nov. 9.

Pedal & Swing was created by Perry Pedersen, a USA Dance board member and DJ, and his wife, Rosi Rodriguez.Perry will play ballroom music (waltz, foxtrot, rumba, cha cha, etc.) from 4 – 5:25 p.m., and club music (West Coast, salsa, nightclub two-step, Country-Western, etc.) from 5:35 – 7 p.m. 

Pedal & Swing takes place at CSP Dance Studios, 1624 Eubank Blvd. NE. The suggested minimum donation is $10. Talk to Perry for more information or visit the Pedal & Swing website.

Saturday evening dance. Our first December dance will be on Saturday evening at a different venue: 7 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE. There is no lesson or Back to Basics session. Admission is the usual $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others. There is NO dance on Sunday, Dec. 7.

Board members wanted. We are seeking three or four volunteers to join our board of directors. Elections will be at our Nov. 16 dance. 

New members will take the place of current board members Perry Pedersen, Debra Williams, and Annie Irizari, who are stepping down at year’s end.

Running for new two-year terms are incumbents Rosie Harper, board president; John Cilke, treasurer; and Ruth Horowitz, member-at-large. Members Marie Stoffer and Greg Collison will continue to serve through 2026.
