It’s time to mambo … Sunday at USA Dance!
Please join us at USA Dance this Sunday, Nov. 19. The dance is 3 – 5 p.m. Santa Fe dance teacher David Lopez will teach a free mambo lesson at 2:15 p.m. Doug McClellan will DJ.
We’re at the Albuquerque Square Dance Club, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others.
December dances. Mark your calendars for two big dances in December. Our 1st Sunday dance on Dec. 3 is our general membership meeting where we will elect new members of our chapter board. Then, Dec. 17 is our annual holiday party as well as a Member Appreciation Dance, so members get in free!
The other competition circuit. It’s great to see more of our members competing. But did you know that USA Dance also sponsors dance competitions across the country? These USA Dance events now welcome pro-am couples (students dancing with their teachers) as well as amateur couples. And they are a lot less expensive — and a lot more fun — than the alternative.
