Change up your cha cha … Sunday at USA Dance

The next USA Dance social dance party is 3 – 5 p.m. this Sunday, April 21, at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE.

Come early for a cha cha lesson at 2:15 p.m., taught by Mary Miller of Dance Station. Doug McClellan will DJ.

Admission is $5 for USA Dance members and $10 for others.

Pas de Paur. Our own Jewel Paur (shown in costume) will be performing in Festival Ballet Albuquerque’s upcoming performance of Billy the Kid and Giselle.

Performances of these and other works are Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 20 at 2 and 7 p.m., at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Buy tickets here.

Sunday’s USA Dance is jam-packed: Members are free … the Dance Station Junior Competitors will perform … and we’re hosting another sale of gently used dance shoes.

The dance is 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17. Michiko Sibley teaches a samba lesson at 2:15 p.m. Our venue is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. Andy Nelson will DJ.

It’s Member Appreciation night at our next USA Dance party on Saturday, Dec. 4. USA Dance members get in for free, while others will pay $5.

This dance is at our old stomping grounds — the Albuquerque Square Dance Club, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. The dance is 7 – 9 p.m. Debra Williams will teach a free rumba class at 6:15 p.m. — so come early and get some tips from one of our most experienced dancers.
